The climate in Gambia
Gambia has a subtropical climate. It is the smallest country in Africa. It is located in the far west of the continent, on the Atlantic coast and is enclosed by Senegal. The rainy season runs from mid-June to October. In August the humidity can reach up to 95%. The dry period can be extremely dry. Some years don’t see a drop of rain for months. In the rainy season, the average daytime temperature is 30 °C. At the end of the dry season, April and May, the mercury can rise to 40 °C. The best travel time is from October to February.
