The climate in Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast has a tropical climate. Most precipitation is in the south, on the Atlantic coast. In May and June it is extremely wet. Travelling through the country then is not recommended. It is driest in the period between November and February. In the north, which has a savannah climate, the rainfall is less severe. It is also warmer. From January to April, the average daytime temperature is 35 °C. The maximum temperature on the coast in the warmest period is five degrees lower.
