The climate in Lesotho
Lesotho is a mountainous state in an enclave in the south-east of South Africa. The country’s altitude varies between 1,000 metres in the north-west, where the climate is subtropical, to 3,000 m in the south-east, where a mountain climate prevails. The Lesotho summer runs from October to April, when it also has the most precipitation. The country is not extremely wet. The best time to travel is probably the summer when the average daytime temperature is 26 °C. Winter (July) is, with 15 °C a lot cooler.
