The climate in Morocco
Morocco is a very diverse country in terms of climate. On the coast, with places such as Rabat and Casablanca, there is a Mediterranean weather type: dry and warm summers (25 °C) and moderately wet winters. The north-west has the most rain. The further you head inland the warmer and dryer it gets. Until you reach the Atlas mountains. There it is cool and sometimes you can even ski there in the winter! Beyond the mountains, in the east and south of Morocco, is the Sahara desert. There in the summer it is often 40 °C. Not a place for the faint-hearted.
