The climate in Somalia
Although the country is blessed with hundreds of kilometres of pearl-white beach, Somalia is certainly not a tourist destination. The climate is desert-like: the major part of the country consists of Savannah. Somalia has two 'rainy seasons'. From October to December and in March and April when there is a monthly average of 50 mm of rainfall. The south gets the most rain. In Somalia it is almost continuously 35 °C or more. Only in the months of June to August the does the mercury ever drop below this value.
