The climate in Bangladesh
Bangladesh has a subtropical climate. The rainy season (monsoon) runs from May to October. Then it is hot: daytime temperatures lie between 30 and 35 °C. A large part of the country consists of river delta (Ganges and Brahmaputra). The country is not well protected against flooding. Heavy rainfall frequently causes flooding. In addition, in the months of May and June and October and November Bangladesh is particularly vulnerable to cyclones. The best time to visit Bangladesh is in the 'cold' and dry period: December to May, with 28 °C, it is then the most tolerable.
