The climate in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is a large country: it borders the Caspian Sea and Europe in the west and in the east Mongolia. It's a pretty desolate land, which is comprised mostly of steppe and desert, and has an extreme continental climate. It is hot in summer and stone cold in the winter: temperatures in one place can range from 30 °C in July to-10 °C in January. In the north the temperatures are lower than in the south. In winter large parts of Kazakhstan are covered in snow. The best time to travel is in the months of April, May and September.
