The climate in Nicaragua
In Nicaragua, it is hot almost everywhere (30-35 °C), but not overall equally wet. The west coast has a savannah climate. The rainy season runs from May to November. The dry season, December to April, is also really dry. Then, there is often a strong wind that literally blows a lot of dust around. The east side is tropical and covered in rainforest. The coastal region bears the significant name 'Miskittokust'. In the east it is always wet, and slightly less wet between February and May. The centre is mountainous (up to 2900 meters) and cooler.
