The climate in Bosnia and Herzegovina
For the most part, Bosnia and Herzegovina has a continental climate. This means hot summers; with temperatures regularly reaching 35 °C. Winters are severe with much snow. Only the south, including the well-known place Mostar, differs. The climate there is more Mediterranean with milder winters. Neum is the country’s only seaside resort. The centre of the country is mountainous with winter skiing. The area around Sarajevo, with the popular ski resort Mount Jahorina, has a good snow guarantee.
