The climate in Poland

Poland is located on the dividing line between a moderate oceanic climate (north and west) and a dry continental climate (south and east). Most rain falls at the start of summer. Winters are dry and cold. The further east you go, the colder it gets. In winter the daytime temperature is between-2 and + 2 °C. When the wind comes from the east, it can freeze severely for weeks. The summers are pleasant with average maximum temperatures between 22 and 25 °C. Then the further east you go the warmer it gets. In the mountainous south (Carpathians, Sudetes) it is cool and wet in summer.
