The climate in Canada
Canada, the second largest country in the world, is well known for its cold winters. In the middle and north of the country it freezes from November to April. In the north temperatures of -40 °C are quite normal. Winter in the Rocky Mountains means plenty of winter sports. In summer it can get very warm, especially inland. On the south-west and south-east coasts there is a temperate climate, with much precipitation which falls mainly in winter. Inland and towards the north it gets a lot drier. The best time to tour Canada with a camper van is from May to October.
